Meet the people at St Paul's

Chris Jones

Senior Assistant Minister

Chris is married to Kerry. They have five children (three at home and one married) aged from twenty five to fifteen.
He grew up at Collaroy Plateau on the Northern Beaches and still loves the surf and fishing.

He came to Christ in 1977 while studying Civil Engineering. He worked for a firm of consulting engineers for four years before studying and training for ministry at Moore Theological College.

Chris loves pastoral ministry (preaching and teaching God’s word in the context of relationships). He has been ordained since 1989 and has served in Glenfield / Macquarie Fields, Wee Waa and for the previous ten years before Chatswood was Senior Minister at Norwest Anglican in the Hills District of Sydney.

Chris serves at St Paul’s as a senior assistant minister with particular responsibilities to the 8.30am congregation and a church wide role in pastoral care through the oversight of small groups.

St Paul’s Chatswood is...

...a community of men, women, boys and girls who have been redeemed by God the Father through the finished work of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, on the Cross. Through faith in him we have been forgiven, cleansed of guilt and adopted into the family of God’s much-loved people. He has set us free from our ungodly past so that we might now represent him to the dying world around us—loving and serving others as Christ has loved and served us.
